For this project we had to use water colors. We could only choose three colors that are next to each other on the color wheel and get the color on the paper without our paint brushes touching the paper. I splattered the color and dumped the color on my paper. We then had to figure out what we could see within the colors. I could see a dancing lady in mine.
This project is about current issues. My topic was domestic violence. I painted a purple ribbon because that is the symbol for domestic violence awareness. The words within the ribbon all have something to do with domestic violence. A few of the words I have are: danger, safety, life, trouble, and sorry. Every color that I painted on this project is a tone of purple.
This is my hallway drawing. For this we sat at the end of a hallway and drew what we saw. We had to use as many different values as we could. We had to be really careful as to value because there was a lot of different places that the light hit and you need to include that in your drawing.
This is the first part of my still life project. In the beginning of the still life unit we weren't given any instructions of what to do. We were just told to draw what was in front of us. I knew a little bit about still life drawing but not a lot so this wasn't a very easy thing to do while trying to make it look realistic.
